What drives your interest in working on solar energy issues?

Driving demand for clean energy is the most effective way to transition our country away from fossil fuels and into a brighter, more sustainable world.

What impact do you feel the SolSmart program and you as an Advisor will have on the communities with which you will work?

SolSmart serves to impact solar development in Appalachia by reducing barriers and streamlining the process, so that communities large and small can grow the solar marketplace and participate in the clean energy economy.

What aspects of your work plan are you most excited about?

In rural Southeast Ohio, change is gradual and often held up by short-sighted decisions that don’t benefit communities in the long run. To influence change in a coal-rich region through the SolSmart program is an exciting and welcome challenge. I hope that the SolSmart Advisor experience opens the door to continued dialogue with community leaders about the value and opportunities inherent in strategic solar development.
